I tried the gin with a barrel with a barrel aged gin old fashioned recipe. It tasted like a bourbon old fashioned only cleaner. Didn’t think a gin would work in the recipe, but it did!

It’s like bourbon and gin had a baby.
We had a chance to try this on the Durham Distillery tour. It impressed us as Durham Distillery’s best gin so far. We love and use their American Dry for most cocktails. But, when we’re seeking something with a little more depth and complexity, we reach for their Barrel Aged. It has a bit more robust flavor which suits some purposes for us. Great gin!

I bought a bottle of the Barrel Aged Series for a gin loving friend because this is the best gin I’ve ever tasted. He loved it at first taste. He’s since made the trek to the distillery to purchase some of Durham Distillery’s other outstanding gins. You can never go wrong with Conniption Gins.
Shared our barrel ages Gin with friends and family recently and they really liked it. Some had it with a splash of herbal iced tea or ginger ale and others simply drank it on the rocks. Really unique flavor and gin.
Barrel Aged is one of my absolute favorites! It’s unique, flavorful, and deliciously smooth; best enjoyed on the rocks 😉. 10/10 Must Try!!!
